Board Members

Six institutions constitute the board of EBPMN: Biovac (South Africa), Techinvention Lifecare (India), Instituto Butantan (Brazil), CNBG (China), Panacea Biotec (India) and St. Petersburg Institute (Nicaragua).

Mr. Tiago Rocca, Instituto Butantan, Brazil

Secretary of EBPMN

Mr. Rocca has been with Butantan for over 14 years and has taken on roles in vaccine and biopharmaceutical production, technology transfer, validation, and quality assurance. He completed the GMP for influenza vaccine manufacturers course at BTEC-NCSU and is a pharmacist and postgraduate in health law and pharma business management.

Ms. Meng Li, CNBG, China

Treasurer of EBPMN

Ms. Li has been the CNBG’s Head of International Cooperation since 2013, providing strategic support to the CNBG leadership and working on project development, management, and execution with international corporations, NGOs, and research organisations, drawing on her experience in company growth and NGO projects. She has led successful alliances, licensing, financial aid, and acquisitions. With 16 years’ working experience, Ms. Li is proficient in the technical and business operations in the biological industry.

Mr. Syed S Ahmed, TechInvention Lifecare Pvt. Ltd, India

Vice President of EBPMN

Mr. Ahmed is the director and CEO of Techinvention Lifecare Pvt. Ltd., which works in the domain of biotherapeutics, vaccines, and diagnostics and spearheads multiple strategic capacity-building initiatives in LMICs, innovative R&D projects, technical advisory, and consultancy projects. Techinvention has a strategic collaboration with Virchow Biotech Pvt. Ltd. for commercial-scale manufacturing. Mr. Ahmed is a pharmacist with a post-graduation in business management and has over 25 years of experience leading strategic projects and initiatives in the pharmaceutical sector across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

Mr. Ankesh Jain, Panacea Biotec Ltd, India

Mr. Jain is a global sales and business development professional with 13 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He leads sales, marketing, and business development to expand the company’s global footprint and identify new growth opportunities in new regions, viz., the GCC and Africa. Mr. Jain is a graduate in pharmaceutical management and recently completed his MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. Mr. Jain is the director of sales and marketing and a full-time director at Panacea Biotec.

Dr. Keyur Parekh, Zydus Lifesciences, India

Dr. Keyur Parekh heads the global strategy and business development function. Dr. Parekh had executed deals in multiple countries for Zydus’ biosimilars across Russia, Africa, Latin America, Middle East, and Southeast Asia.Dr. Parekh has over two decades of experience in designing and executing business strategies in the biopharma industry and working with LMICs for biologicals. Dr. Parekh has completed his B. Sc. in Chemistry from Sardar Patel University, followed by an M.B.A. in Marketing and a Ph. D. in Management with a specialization in consumer behavior.

Dr. Anatoly Evtushenko, SPbSRIVS, Russia

Mr. Evtushenko is the first deputy director of the Saint Petersburg Scientific Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums (SPbSRIVS) of the FMBA of Russia, a leading Russian developer and manufacturer of vaccines and immunobiological products. He plays a vital role in the strategic and business development projects of the institute and also facilitates technology transfer, in-licensing, and out-licensing of immunobiologicals for SPbSRIVS.

Mr. Stanislav Uiba, Mechnikov, Nicaragua

Mr. Uiba is the general manager of Instituto Latinoamericano de Biotecnologa Mechnikov, SA, a modern high-tech platform designed for the development and product manufacturing of immunobiological products. Mr. Uiba actively participates in the project management and business development of key initiatives of the institute. He also plays an advisory role to the director of SPbSRIVS of the FMBA of Russia. Mr. Uiba brings rich expertise from 14 years of experience in his field to the board.

Dr. Nibal Dahaba, Gennecs Pharmaceuticals, Egypt

Dr. Dahaba is the co-founder and general manager of emerging markets for Gennecs Pharmaceuticals, as well as the owner of Gennvax, Egypt’s first full-cycle vaccine manufacturing facility. She has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, government relations, company development, market access, team management, commercial negotiation, business excellence, key country metrics follow-up, corporate communication, public relations,regulatory affairs, and policy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Cairo University and a diploma in leadership and campaigning from George Washington University.

Ms. Genevieve Keshwar

Business development manager, BIOVAC

Genevieve has been in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry for more than twenty years, specializing in business development and licensing, including alliance management, portfolio development, M&A, and divestitures in multiple geographies. In 2003, Genevieve started her career at Aspen, where she worked in the business development and legal departments, collaborating with the team to meet the organization’s portfolio aspirations. At the end of 2014, Genevieve moved to Cipla Medpro as a senior business development manager responsible for generating annual revenue targets and pursuing and managing strategic projects.  Genevieve joined Biovac recently and is heading up their business development activities as the Business Development Manager, responsible for implementing Biovac’s growth strategy through strategic partnering. Throughout Genevieve’s career, she has worked in multiple sectors, including government and the private sector, as well as globally, building relationships with many other pharmaceutical companies. Her experience and accomplishments extend across various pharmaceutical disciplines, including identifying and evaluating attractive business opportunities and ensuring strategic decision-making with the help of sound analysis through project management, strategic sourcing (in-license and out-license), product transfer and launches, business development, and customer relationship management.
